Buddy the Cat needs a home

Buddy was found in bad shape, with badly abscessed bite wounds on both back legs.  It appears that he was viciously attacked by another animal as he tried to run away.  

He was rushed to the Cat Shack's friends at Perkiomen Animal Hospital for emergency care on a Sunday.  He was found to be in very bad shape and had likely been suffering for days.  Our vet feels that he was brought in just in time to save his life.  After spending nearly 10 days under the vet's care, he improved enough to be released to foster care.

Buddy is a sweet cat that has been through way too much in his young life.  He does not want to return to the streets of Allentown and badly wants a safe, loving home.

Buddy is now neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas and is healing well.  He tesed negative for Feline leukemia and positive for FIV.  Being FIV + isn't bringng Buddy down, he knows it's really not that big of a deal and it shouldn't stop him from getting that wonderful home that he deserves.

Adopting from The Cat Shack



The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
